Walk-On’s Expands Use of BeerBoard Alcohol Intelligence in Texas, Louisiana and South Carolina

by JC Whipple

SYRACUSE, NY (September 15, 2025) — BeerBoard announced today that Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is expanding use of its Alcohol Intelligence (AI) platform to corporate-owned locations in Texas, Louisiana and South Carolina. The decision follows successful early adoption in two stores, where Walk-On’s realized measurable revenue gains, streamlined operations, and an improved guest experience.

BeerBoard’s Alcohol Intelligence platform is the industry leader in technology for total alcohol management — from supplier to pour. By unifying ordering, inventory, menus, and performance insights, the platform empowers operators like Walk-On’s to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and drive profitable growth

Early Success in Texas

Walk-On’s first introduced BeerBoard technology at its South Arlington and The Colony locations in Texas. Within months, the restaurants saw significant performance improvements, including roughly $50 in incremental revenue per keg and a 35% reduction in tap handles, aligning offerings more efficiently with guest demand. The ability to analyze product performance and right-size assortments helped Walk-On’s boost margins while simplifying its bar operations.

SmartOrders: Streamlined Ordering and Distributor Connectivity

Through BeerBoard’s SmartOrders, Walk-On’s managers gained access to automated, centralized alcohol ordering with direct distributor connectivity. By leveraging real-time inventory data and suggested ordering, the system reduced manual entry, minimized errors, and ensured product accuracy. These efficiencies freed up managers’ time, while simultaneously providing greater visibility into purchasing and performance.

SmartMenus: Guest Engagement and Marketing Power

Walk-On’s also adopted SmartMenus to enhance its guest-facing beverage experience. By transitioning to dynamic digital menus, the brand significantly cut down on printing costs while delivering a more engaging way for guests to explore the beverage lineup. In addition, SmartMenus created new opportunities for Walk-On’s to promote featured items digitally and has already driven a noticeable increase in traffic to the Walk-On’s loyalty program, connecting guests more directly with the brand.

SmartBar: Visibility and Performance Insights

With SmartBar, Walk-On’s gained real-time insights into its bar operations by connecting sales and inventory data. Advanced pour tracking and category-level insights identified areas of waste, optimized brand mix, and delivered actionable performance reporting. These tools positioned Walk-On’s managers to make smarter, data-backed decisions, leading to greater consistency across all Texas corporate locations.

Commitment to Innovation and Growth

“Walk-On’s is a brand that thrives on innovation, community, and delivering an unforgettable experience to every guest,” said Tom Young, Vice President of BeerBoard. “Their early success in Arlington and The Colony showed how Alcohol Intelligence drives real impact — from revenue per keg to smarter tap lineups. Expanding across additional locations is a natural next step.”

“We’re always looking for ways to improve how our restaurants operate and how we serve our guests,” said Tom Weisheyer, Senior Vice President of Operations at Walk-On’s. “BeerBoard’s technology gives us the insights to optimize our program while also connecting with guests in new ways through SmartMenus and our loyalty program. The results speak for themselves, and we’re excited to bring to more Walk-On’s locations.”

The partnership is another example of leading on-premise operators choosing BeerBoard to modernize management of their beverage alcohol programs and unlock measurable results.
